Back in 2012, I was (and still am,) working in Sales Department. My Partner was also working for Toyota as a contractor at the Security office, so we travelled together. We would always drop Kayla, my daughter, who was about five at that time, off at pre-school before we made our way to work. That morning, there was an accident on the road to her pre school and traffic stood still, we knew that we would not make it to work on time if we stayed on that road. Essie had a very important meeting with Senior Management that morning, so we decided that we were going to turn around and go to the office where I would keep her until his meeting was done and he would then take her to pre-school afterwards.
I decided to take her to the canteen for a sandwich and cooldrink and on the staircase we ran into Doctor, I still though, Oh crap, of all days to run into Doctor, it would be today. He went down to her level and started asking her what her name was and whether she is visiting mommy at work, this normally shy child started talking to Doctor like she knew him, Doctor then took her by her hand and led her to his office down the hall with me in tow, He then gave her one of his Bar One chocolates that we always got those years, It was so special, she got to see Doctors office, something that I haven't even done before in all my years at Toyota. He took time out of his immensely busy day to treat a child to a few special moments, I'll never forget that day. We walked back to the office and I was like, Did that really just happen? She often referred to that day afterwards.
