I once was returning from Hong Kong on the overnight flight and SAA and Cathay Pacific use to land at the same time around 07h00. When I got to the carousal I saw what I thought was my bag come past, grabbed it and left. It was only once I got home that I realized the identical bag was not mine as the combination lock was different. Upon phoning the J. Van Zyl on the tag it was Doc !! I had taken Santi's bag as they had returned on the same flight!! I shared the the story with him a few times after as both Doc and Santi were not very impressed when we met at the airport to swop bags. RIP Doc, will miss seeing you on those flights and catching up at the carousal in Tokyo on Arrival after long flights.
